How the Green Friendly Divot Tool Works

Smooth Rolling Greens For Everyone

Insert & Twist 1. Insert The Green Friendly Divot Tool™ into the grass a quarter inch outside the ball mark.

2. Twist the tool with your thumb and forefinger a quarter turn towards the ball mark.

3. Repeat steps 1&2 three times around the ball mark or until all the turf is turned into the mark.

4. Tip the turf flush with the bottom of your putter.

5. Repair as many ball marks as you can without holding up the pace of play.

The Green Friendly Divot Tool™ is scientifically designed not to harm the putting surface. The tool’s forks are purposefully designed not to reach below the putting green’s fragile root system, ensuring the grass around the ball mark area will not die after repair.

The short handle of the Green Friendly Divot Tool discourages the “lifting” type of repair that has been proven by The U.S.G.A. to destroy the grass in the “repaired” area.  Our divot tool encourages the twisting type of repair that has been adopted by The Golf Course Superintendents Association of America, The U.S.G. A. and the PGA Tour.
